Mercedes-Benz Arena "Fun Market" Reopens Creating New Spring Cultural Tourism Consumption Scene with Sustainable Concept
Shanghai, April 25-27, 2025 –On the occasion of the 55th World Earth Day, Mercedes-Benz Arena relaunched its second "Fun Market," centering on "Sustainable Lifestyle" to create a new spring consumption scene through an innovative integrated model of "culture, tourism, commerce, sports, and exhibitions." Organized by Mercedes-Benz Arena in collaboration with Zhoujiadu Community and BANG Media, this year’s market featured over 40 distinctive brands. It meticulously curated themed zones including Sound Bowl Healing, Plastic Reduction & Environmental Protection, Pet-Friendly Spaces, Creative Handicrafts, and Gourmet Food. Adding to the excitement, hugely popular IPs like Ultraman and Minions made surprise appearances, continuously energizing urban cultural tourism consumption.
As an award-winning IP honored as one of Shanghai Municipal Culture and Tourism Administration’s "Top 10 Tourism Festival Events of 2024," Mercedes-Benz Arena again opened its Gate 2 and lawn areas during non-performance hours, welcoming the public with greater openness. This innovative move effectively activated the venue’s commercial space while providing convenient, diverse cultural leisure options for surrounding communities and tourists, fully demonstrating the social value of this urban cultural landmark.
At the event, an environmental art installation "Möbius Ring" made from recycled PET bottles became a signature photo spot, symbolizing perpetual resource cycling. Smart recycling stations and swap zones encouraged public participation in sustainability initiatives. The green interactive zone integrated eco-aesthetics into daily life through plant handicrafts and clothing upcycling. Sustainable brands like Climate Fresk, Sustainable Gastronomy, and Botanic Dreamer further made sustainable living tangible through games, charity sales, and light meals.
Pet families found their paradise at the specially designed "Furry Friends Camp," offering social spaces for owners and pets. Partnering with Love Me Love My Pet Animal Shelter for adoption drives and featuring pet brands like PetFirst and Magic Cat Box, the market created unique pet-friendly consumption experiences.

Deep collaboration with Zhoujiadu Community stood out as a highlight. Free eye health consultations, traditional Chinese medicine services, and fun sports like curling and shooting attracted all ages – making the market both entertaining and practical for youth and the silver-haired generation alike.
Beyond stalls, childhood icons Ultraman and Minions drew families, while 15+ performances including open-mic sessions and hand pan concerts ensured "playful relaxation" for all attendees.
A new "Stamp Rally" activity guided visitors from the market to the Retail Area. Collecting stamps enabled entries to win limited-edition prizes like tickets to "Calling the Name of Light: Classic Ultraman Exhibition," enhancing engagement while driving traffic to merchants.
For the May Day holiday, Mercedes-Benz Arena will further explore integrated development models: The main venue hosts 8 consecutive “Arknights: Ambience Synesthesia 2025 Echoes of the Legends” performances (May 1-4) for anime fans; The Retail Area debuts the Ultraman Exhibition alongside new tenants like Mei KTV and Maria Beauty Customization, extending pre/post-concert experiences; The Arena’s Mini-program launched AR navigation and 720° VR features, significantly enhancing visitor convenience.
This Fun Market championed sustainable living while activating the spring economy through innovation, showcasing Mercedes-Benz Arena’s vitality as a Shanghai cultural landmark. The venue remains committed to building an "all-weather, one-stop" entertainment destination for richer public cultural experiences.
