E-SPORTS INDUSTRY SERVICE PLATFORM LAUNCHED IN SHANGHAI WORLD EXPO AREA. PUDONG DISTRICT ACCELERATES SHANGHAI’S E-SPORT INDUSTRY BY DEVELOPING CORE FUNCTIONAL COMPOUND CONSTRUCTIONS.

On 16th August, the inaugural ceremony of the establishment of the e-sport Industry Service Platform and E-sport Incubator Showcase Center entering Mercedes Benz Arena, Shanghai was held at Shanghai World Expo Area.

At the end of 2017, Shanghai grandly announced The 50 Opinions of Cultural and Creative Industry and suggested speeding up the establishment of the global ‘Metropolis of E-sport’. Encouraging investments in E-sport arena constructions, developing E-sport industry agglomeration, enhancing local E-sport competition brands and supporting international top-class E-sport competition to host in Shanghai. At the start of this month, Shanghai Expo Area of e-sport industry core functional domain has also landed on Pudong.

Mercedes-Benz Arena, which is located in the Shanghai World Expo area has held a series of activities such as the Tencent E-sport Annual Press Conference and the KPL National Final Contest. The arena has a strong atmosphere and foundation in e-sport and is the first choice for hosting large-scale e-sport competition. The heavy focus on creating a diversified leisure compound has made e-sport an essential part of the commercial development of the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Therefore, being pushed by the trend in e-sport industry development, the E-Sport Industry Incubation Showcase Center has entered Mercedes-Benz Arena, Shanghai the CMEL Master Series Competition Shanghai Station, Estar e-sport Club have announced simultaneously to cooperate strategically with the Incubation Showcase Center. The Showcase Center will create an e-sport industry compound consists of youth training camps, e-sport leisure arena, e-sport exhibition, educational training center and E-sport Industry Incubator. It will continue to pull in businesses, e-sport and leisure brand competition activities related to the e-sport industry chain in the future in order to create e-sport industry content. 

The first E-sport Industry Service Platform has been officially launched in the World Export Area in Shanghai. The officials of World Expo Authority aims to seize the pattern and characteristics of the industry development by relying on the advantage of the free-trading system, according to the Shanghai E-sport industry development core functional area’s requirements. The Expo will essentially cooperate with more arenas, market bodies and professional third parties to create an industry capital platform, a general competition platform, an exhibition platform and a business service platform cohering to the development of the e-sport industry in order to educate the industry chain. Promoting the operation, talents and corporate financing of e-sport competition, and thus to establish a one-stop service system that could create a favorable environment for the domestic well-known e-sport enterprises and clubs to stay.
