STARS ON ICE IS COMING TO MERCEDES-BENZ ARENA SHANGHAI THIS SEPTEMBER 16TH FEATURING STARS SUCH AS THREE TIME GOLD MEDALIST EVGENI PLUSHENKO

On July 31, 2018, on the third anniversary of the success of Beijing Winter Olympics, the “Stars on Ice" China Tour held a press conference at Mercedes-Benz Arena Shanghai. Former Olympic Champion, Yang Yang who is the current Chairwoman of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympic Athletes Committee attended the event. Also, the Vancouver Winter Olympics silver medal winner and the Ice Skating World Championship champions Pang Qing and Tong Jian also attended the event. The Organizer of the event Lin Jun, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Hongyue Sports, Liu Wei, the Vice President of IMG China, Wei Jiang Lei, and General Manager of Sina Sports were present at the press release. As the only international figure skating performance in China in 2018, the organizer, Hongyue Sports said that in 2018, the“Stars on Ice" will begin its tour, which will be showcased in Shanghai and Beijing. The first stop will be at the Mercedes-Benz Shanghai on September 16 followed by a performance in Beijing this December.

The cast of the 2018 "Stars on Ice" at Mercedes-Benz Arena Shanghai is top-notch, including Evgeni Plushenko, Javier Fernández, and Jeffrey Buttle. The couples include the Vancouver Winter Olympics silver medalists Pang Qing and Qing Jian, the Canadian combination Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, Sochi Winter Olympics gold medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White, two-time ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating champions Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje, as well as the favorite ice dance combination Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani.
