TICKETS TO FIRST-EVER NHL CHINA GAME IN SHANGHAI GO ON PRE-SALE TODAY

This September, Shanghai and Beijing will be welcoming the National Hockey League (NHL), one of the four major North American sports leagues. For the first time, NHL preseason games will be held in China. The NHL and Bloomage International announced today that tickets to the 2017 NHL China Games? presented by O.R.G. Packaging between the Los Angeles Kings and the Vancouver Canucks are available for presale reservation now, Thursday July 20th. Tickets to the games on Sept. 21st at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai and Sept. 23rd at Wukesong Arena in Beijing are available for purchase via en.damai.cn.

The National Hockey League was founded in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1917. It is the second oldest of the four major professional sports leagues in North America. The NHL currently has 31 teams participating in the league; 24 of them are based in the United States, and 7 of them are based in Canada. Every NHL team plays an 82 game regular season followed by a 16 team playoff bracket. The Stanley Cup is awarded to the league playoff champions at the end of the season, whereas the Presidents’ Trophy is awarded to the team with the most points at the end of the regular season.

The two teams playing in the first ever NHL China Games have a deep history within the league itself. The Los Angeles Kings entered the league in 1967 whereas the Vancouver Canucks played their first professional league game in 1970. During their time in the NHL, both teams have made it to the pinnacle of the league, the Stanley Cup Final. The last time LA Kings lifted the Stanley Cup was in 2014. The Vancouver Canucks have been a part of 3 Stanley Cup Final runs; 1982, 1994, and 2011. Moreover, the Canucks have won consecutive Presidents’ Trophies in the 2010-11 and 2011-2012 regular seasons.  

As the NHL celebrates its 100th year anniversary, it is fitting they mark this special occasion by bringing teams from the league to China for the first time ever.  With this event the NHL and Bloomage International, with the support of founding partner O.R.G. Packaging, will contribute to the realization of “300 million people dream of ice and snow” initiative by presenting professional ice hockey at its highest level. More than just playing a set of exhilarating games, the Kings and Canucks will be showcasing a meaningful part of North American sports culture.

Tickets for the Shanghai Game on September 21st are classified into six sections: 220 RMB, 380 RMB, 480 RMB, 680 RMB, 880 RMB, 1280 RMB. Starting today, all those interested in attending the games can reserve their tickets at en.damai.cn
