METALLICA RETURNS TO MERCEDES-BENZ ARENA

Mercedes-Benz Arena opened 2017 with the hottest rock fest in town. After nearly four years, METALLICA returns to Shanghai for the second time and the heavy metal legends remain as popular as ever!

Chinese fans shook Mercedes-Benz Arena last Sunday with Metallica’s classic heavy metal songs. Playing their popular songs and the new track from their latest album, Hardwired ... To Self-Destruct, fans raised their fists, jumped along head banging all the way to the end of the show.

The album which was released last November by its independent label Blackened Recordings has been well received in China.  The band played total of 18 songs from the new song "Atlas, Rise!" then subtly mixing it with the classic track "Nothing Else Matters", this enraptured the audience and die-hard fans stood distinctively and worshipped their God of heavy metal songs.

The two-hour uninterrupted performance celebrated the band’s 30 years as rock and roll legends. In addition to their most popular track from the new album “Atlas Rise” they also played "Moth Into Flame" And "Halo On Fire", the metal bands played their favorite tracks such as "Sad But True", "The Unforgiven", "For Whom The Bell Tolls" and "Whiskey In The Jar" and "Nothing Else Matters" moved fans, some were in tears, the rest waved their iphones up in the air in unity with the band. The fans sang to the chorus of Enka "Enter Sandman", the whole performance perfect ending. Then, the band members greet the fans in turn, thank the Chinese fans for many years the band's relentless support, singer James shouted to the audience, "Metallica loves you Shanghai" (Metal band love you, Shanghai!) ", Drummer Lars also said "We will see you very soon!" (We will soon be back!).
