WWE LIVE SLAMMED THE MERCEDES-BENZ ARENA WITH SHANGHAI DEBUT
Last Saturday night on September 10th, WWE Live unleashed their Shanghai debut, featuring a notorious win for China’s first WWE super star Tian Bin (Bin Wang) with his in-ring debut.
From the start, Shanghai WWE fans crowded the floor seating with deafening chanting and smack talk as Cesaro defeated Sheamus. Stomping and slamming from the unmistakable sounds of the ring were heard outside of the arena walls, while yelling from pain and agony echoed through the ears of fans in awe. However, nothing was as chaotic as compared to when John Cena won his first Shanghai wrestling match. His theme song was unmistakable and as catchy as ever. Shanghai fans who proudly wore the “Never Give Up” T shirts screamed as he fearlessly took on the slams of the obscurely large “Big Show”. Both International and Chinese fans ferociously sprinted toward the merchandise table packed with well known WWE T-Shirt designs to buy Shanghai’s copy of the WWE Live T-shirt. Heineken beer was spilled and John Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” T-shirts were worn.
(Bin Wang)
After a 3-month training session in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center, Bin Wang returned to Shanghai to illustrate all of the hard work he has put into representing China. Bin Wang previously stated in June, at the WWE press conference in Shanghai, “It is an honor to be the first-ever Chinese talent in WWE history. There are no fans in the world that show the same passion as the WWE Universe, and I look forward to training and developing my skills so I can perform for them in the future.” And after a few echoing body slams and face kicks, this past WWE Live event truly shined a light on how hard Bin Wang had been working to represent China in the WWE. And the fans loved it.
