ADAM LAMBERT & QUEEN BRING BONE-CHILLING DEBUT TO SHANGHAI

September 26, 2016, Adam Lambert returned to the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Shanghai pairing with historical American rock band, Queen. Last Saturday night was Queen’s China debut for their four month 2016 Live International Tour.

This was Queen’s first time entertaining China by performing in Shanghai and in Hong Kong during the month of September. After the first spine shivering song “One Vision”, Adam Lambert and Queen both thanked Shanghai for having them entertain a country they never imaged was possible 10 years ago. In an interview with “TimeOut Hong Kong”, lead guitarist Brian May stated, “It’s extraordinary that we never could make direct contact with China over all those years. We had fans there and we never really knew. It’s amazing that we can actually come now. It wasn’t possible in the old days. We wanted to come but I think culturally we were unacceptable at the time”. Due to the energy of the arena and love from fans, Queen & Adam Lambert soon realized how much they were loved in Shanghai and amped up their energy to deliver an unforgettable performance to a country they used to only dream of. Adam Lambert brought his spunky entertainer attitude and butt-shaking dancing that made the audience lose their minds.

During the “TimeOut Hong Kong” interview lead guitarist Brian May stated Adam Lambert wasn’t exactly trying to replace the late lead singer Freddie Mercury, however “He has a lot of things in common with Freddie Mercury. He has an incredible sense of humor, which is very important, and he has an incredible vocal range. Those two things really make him perfectly fitted for Queen”. While performing Queen’s most epic rock song “Bohemian Rhapsody”, Lambert sat back and gave due respect to the recording of Freddie Mercury’s most powerful song. Not only was Adam Lambert an incredible entertainer, but he also showed extreme respect to the bands history and members. Adam Lambert is without a doubt the perfect fill-in for the world’s most famous rock band, Queen.
