NCAA PAC-12 CHINA GAME RETURN TO SHANGHAI WITH PROMISE OF MORE MATCHES
Last Saturday afternoon, the United States collegiate men’s basketball association, NCAA, brought their PAC-12 China Game back to the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Shanghai with a match between the well-known American rivals, Harvard vs. Stanford. After a well-fought match, Stanford took the win with 80 points over Harvard’s 70 points.
During this years PAC-12 China Game, Mercedes-Benz Arena Cares worked closely with Shanghai Charity Education & Training Center and the Yao Ming foundation. During half time, 10,000 dollars were donated to help fund the Yao Ming foundation by supporting underprivileged children from the Anhui province. The children from both organizations were invited to watch the game and were given special PAC-12 China Game T-shirts. In addition to a luxury suite experience, Shanghai Charity Education & Training Center children were catered to by Mercedes-Benz Arena Cares food & beverage partner Kofler & Kompanie Asia.
This was the second regular-season NCAA competition to be conducted in Shanghai, China. Preceding Saturday’s game, PAC-12 President Larry Scott and FUSC President Yang Liguo announced a two-year extension with the PAC-12 China Game tournament bringing a 2017 and 2018 return to the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Shanghai.
